Although some improvement can be appreciated by the patient immediately following surgery, the final result will be more evident after the swelling has resolved. This may take 3 to 6 weeks. As the region begins to settle, the mid-face lift becomes apparent with time and leaves the patient with a natural-appearing result that is youthful in appearance.
